Many people, from across the United States and around the world, travel to Las Vegas, Nevada, for vacation. Las Vegas is known for gambling, extravagant shows and casinos. At night the Las Vegas Strip comes alive with bright lights and "beautiful people." The millions of colorful lights are awesome and the casinos are magnificent. Personally, I prefer to stay at a resort located off the "strip" where there are not so many people. It is less crowded and things seem to move at a slower pace. Anyway, that is just my preference. It is obvious, by observing the thousands of people visiting the "strip," that most people prefer the "strip." Laughlin, Nevada is another gambling resort city located in Nevada. Laughlin is a very small resort town on the border of Arizona along the Colorado River. This area is extremely hot in the summer and temperatures can easily exceed 120 degrees F. You will notice some bright lights in Laughlin on the small number of casinos located along the river. Laughlin does not attract the large crowds like Las Vegas and everything moves at a relaxed pace. The gambling in Laughlin is equivalent to that in Las Vegas and seems to be more fun... just my humble opinion. Which location, Las Vegas or Laughlin, would you choose for your next vacation?
