The Tarantulas Emerge
August 15, 2005, updated May 12, 2008 -->Tarantulas (spiders in the family Theraphosidae) will emerge during the summer here in Tucson, Arizona. The tarantulas here spend most of their time in underground burrows, but during the summer, the males emerge after dark to look for females.
Wow, my daughter and son-in-law used to live in Tucson. I wonder if they saw any tarantulas.
